Jack Perla is active in opera, jazz, chamber and symphonic music. His compositions have been widely performed and he’s performed in the U.S., Europe and Japan. Jack has been commissioned by the Los Angeles Opera, Opera Theatre St. Louis, Houston Grand Opera, Seattle Opera, The Paul Dresher Ensemble, and The Barlow Endowment. He's also a recipient of the Thelonious Monk Institute Composers Award.
